36 degree heat blistered the red carpet as an entourage of stylish Limousines followed suit to the entrance of the red carpet. The fans eagerly awaited their stars, one hand grasping their digital cameras in anticipation, the other holding a makeshift fan and the odd shout of “Robbie or Keith” could be heard from a distance.
As the stars made their way up the red carpet, photographers, Television production crew and journalists fought their way to the front to capture the moment.

The second major round of artists to perform at the 21st Anniversary Bluesfest has been announced! Australia’s most awarded and internationally renowned festival officially will be held at its permanent new home – at the Tyagarah Tea Tree farm just off the Pacific Highway, 12 minutes north of Byron Bay. The Easter weekend dates for your diary are Thursday April 1 through to Monday April 5, 2010!
Festival goers should also note that the new and updated playing schedule is now online, and one day tickets are now also on sale – just visit www.bluesfest.com.au to see it all. Redcliffe, (occasionally referred to as Deadcliffe by the locals), is no longer a sleepy place where the pelican builds her nest, all that has changed thanks to some very funny Rouge’s . Held on the first Wednesday of every month. This is an alternate comedy club run by comedians Shayne Hunter and Richard Price (founder of Rouge’s Gallery Comedy Club). It is a great way to catch up on some of Australia’s best talent before they become media stars, though some are there already, plus the price is right. Admission is free! Woo hoo! Located at the Bramble Bay Bowls Club, at the end of the Hornibrook Highway, people came from as far away as Toowoomba for the opening night, to laugh till their jaws ached, and then laugh some more.

The 24th Woodford Folk Festival programme is as diverse and delightful as ever, with 580 acts gathering in the forested valley of Woodfordia, over the six days between the 27th December and the 1st of January 2010. On offer is an epic journey into a village of contemporary culture celebrating the richness and diversity of many musical genres and art forms, the planet and our own wellbeing.
Whilst Woodford is one of Australia’s largest festivals, the atmosphere remains peaceful and family friendly. The whole festival is set in a parkland, one hour’s drive from Brisbane. The site features treed campgrounds and festival streets lined with 22 venues, 45 restaurants and over 100 stalls.

We can proudly announce that John will indeed be fronting Anthrax for their Soundwave performances and this will surely have the bands faithful frothing at the mouth!
