|Delivering potent, intelligent, memorable melodies with a noisy cohesion and howling passion, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club have never succumbed to the safe path or released records to please the suits.
From the sparse, literate and deeply hypnotic killer tunes of ‘Howl’ to the simmering sexuality of ‘Baby 81’, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club have always sought to personify, celebrate, and finally eulogize the ravaged sound of bar-bred, blue-collar rock.

| Since releasing their debut album ‘Buy The Ticket, Take The Ride’ in November last year, The Black Ryder have been busy gearing up for it’s international release, this month signing deals in Japan and the USA.
In Japan the album will be released through Vinyl Junkie recordings and in the USA through cool indie label ‘Mexican Summer’, home to artists such as Wooden Shjips, Dungen, and The Tallest Man On Earth, to name but a few. The Black Ryder will head to the US for shows later in the year in support of the release.
The Frontier Touring Company announces the return of Regina Spektor to Australia and New Zealand in April this year.
When Regina Spektor’s family moved from her birthplace of the Soviet Union to America’s Bronx, her musical interests and talent expanded from the genre of classical music toward the vibrancy of pop and rock. These transitions of location and taste are reflected in the classical artistry within her piano composition and distinctive eclectic fusion of sounds. Adding to her repertoire of skills is her ability to play not only the piano but the guitar and occasional percussion as well, rendering her a truly versatile musician.

It’s been four years in the making but after setting a new benchmark in Australian heavy rock with their debut album “Themata”, the pressure was on. Fortunately the wait has been worth it!!
Re-enlisting Themata’s producer Forrester Savell, the album was recorded at Perth’s Blackbird and Kingdom Studios over several months, and later mixed at Melbourne’s famous Sing Sing Studios’. Savell has done a superb job on this record with each band member clear in the mix, and the various landscapes of sound captured impeccably. Singer Ian Kenny relays “It was a no-brainer in the end. Once we made the decision to let him into our space, we really relied on him to don the heavy black boots and start kicking heads, which he did. Plus, the guy’s got the goods musically – he’s like the cleaner who comes in after a murder.”
