Unearth are currently readying to unveil Darkness In The Light, their fifth full-length in a discography that’s placed the band among the most prolific modern metal acts to come out of the US. Set for release early July via Metal Blade Records, the 11-track album was recorded at Zing Studios in Westfield, Massachusetts with producer Adam Dutkiewicz and mixed at Audiohammer Studios in Sanford, Florida by Mark Lewis. AND LAUNCH SHOWS
|Jimmy Hawk is one of Melbourne’s most loved folk-pop troubadours. Always shifting and exploratory as a songwriter, his music aims for romantic transcendence using melody, hazy-eyed choruses, dream filled lyrics and warm production values. Not surprisingly, these heartfelt tunes have garnered him an enthusiastic following and have seen him perform alongside artists such as Cold War Kids, Little Red, The Temper Trap and Silver Sun Pickups.|
Great things and monumental disasters often begin with words that run along lines like this, “I can’t promise that this will turn out well, but we’ll see”… Such words were spoken by Tom Iansek, guitarist/vocalist for Big Scary and erstwhile producer for Melbourne agents of devastatingly concise indie rock, Winter Street.

Temptation – The Waifs
| “Where do we take it from here?”
It’s a question the much-loved Australian band has asked itself several times in the 19 years since Thorn, her sister Donna Simpson and guitarist Josh Cunningham set off on their incredible journey.
A trip that began in a van in 1992, with the three troubadours playing gigs anywhere in Australia that would have them, has led The Waifs to multiple ARIA awards, platinum albums and successful tours across the world. The hard yards in those early days paid off in terms of their career, but also bound the three of them together as friends.
|Brisbane blues-rock/foot-stomp band Transvaal Diamond Syndicate have a Devil on their shoulder. That whisper in their ear that guides their musical career, telling them to work harder, play harder and show the world what they have. It’s come up aces for the fiery, foot-stompin’ crew, scoring two shows at Byron Bay Bluesfest (Thursday and Friday – April 21/22), alongside national and international acts, such as Xavier Rudd, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Bob Dylan and ZZ Top.|
They have listened to that little devil and he has told them to put out their new single, “Devil on My Shoulder” – it’s all about those dirty little secrets, those things that you can’t speak about in “polite” company. It’s out April 1 on iTunes and they are playing gigs in Queensland and New South Wales all through April to celebrate.

|Following his fifth European tour, Melbourne-based international dream-folk troubadour Pete Uhlenbruch (aka Owls of the Swamp) is set to release his second full-length album, Go with River in mid 2011. The songs were recorded during a five-week solitary stint in a beach shack in Inverloch, Victoria, infusing the album with a captivating, spellbinding pace.|
Fleshing out his reflections on solitude and nature, Uhlenbruch evoked guest performances from a worldwide cast of musicians before enlisting the masterful ears of J. Walker (from Machine Translations) and Andy Stewart who mixed the album in Gippsland., and Adam Dempsey who mastered the album in Melbourne.
