Its been an amazing year for Transvaal Diamond Syndicate (TDS)… inclusion in Australia’s premier Blues and Roots Festival, Byron Bay Bluesfest 2011, completion of their ‘Sins of the Blessed – East Coast Tour’ – some 35 dates over 2 months which sees the band travel from Cairns all the way down to Sydney, pretty much stopping at every city in between – as well as a number of confirmed festival dates and key support slots.
Brisbane blues-rock/foot-stomp band Transvaal Diamond Syndicate have a Devil on their shoulder. That whisper in their ear that guides their musical career, telling them to work harder, play harder and show the world what they have. It’s come up aces for the fiery, foot-stompin’ crew, scoring two shows at Byron Bay Bluesfest (Thursday and Friday – April 21/22), alongside national and international acts, such as Xavier Rudd, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Bob Dylan and ZZ Top.

“Transvaal Diamond Syndicate have honed their craft. They have found their market. They have forged their trade routes in the industry. They are the smugglers of fine dirty, foot-stompin’, hard hittin’ blues rock. Their black market tunes come from a place of sweat, tears, blood and hardship – love lost, tribulations endured… rough, raw and unclean…” TRANSVAAL DIAMOND SYNDICATE – Facebook
