Tonight Alive – Crack My Heart (Official Music Video)

Tonight Alive has released “Crack My Heart” today, the brand new single from upcoming album Underworld, set for release on January 12th 2018.

On the track, Singer Jenna McDougall shares: “The concept of cracking the heart is to allow the precious, vulnerable self to come through and be free. The painful, yet liberating experience involves the emotional and energetic decalcification of the hardened heart. The lyrics follow my conversation with a ‘winged man’, a conscious figure, who offers space and safety to do my healing with. In my experience, when you are seen as your authentic self by another, you come to recognise your reflection more accurately and lovingly. ‘Crack My Heart’ is a tribute to the way that love from the divine masculine elevates and holds space for the divine feminine to flourish.”

Live Review : A Day To Remember + Tonight Alive + Issues at Adelaide Entertainment Centre – 13 December 2016

A Day To Remember at Adelaide Entertainment Centre - 13 December 2016 Photographer: Peter Coates
ISSUES kicked off the night with an enthusiastic performance for the growing crowd. Excellent tight drumming from Josh Manuel and a mammoth performance on bass from Skyler Acord built the platform for the twin vocals of Tyler Carter and Michael Bohn, who often displayed some high-quality R & B singing, with really clean, strong harmonies. There is a variety in the set list that covers extreme metalcore through to some progressive melodic metal, and the pop angle the band coined as ‘New Nu Metal’, which probably stems from the fact these guys have been doing their stuff for over 5 years, and we got a selection of material displaying their development, as well as from the new record, Headspace.

A DAY TO REMEMBER – Australian Tour 2016 – with guests OF MICE & MEN + TONIGHT ALIVE

adtr_
Sydney band TONIGHT ALIVE have been added to all dates on the forthcoming A DAY TO REMEMBER tour. These will be their first Australian shows since the release of their third album, Limitless, which was released in March and debuted at #6 on the ARIA Charts.

Limitless has been a worldwide success, with the band making waves across Europe and North America this year including appearances at Warped Tour in the USA, and appearing on the cover of UK magazines Rock Sound and Kerrang. Earlier this year, they performed as one of the UNIFY 16 headliners and sold out their national single tour in January. In July, Tonight Alive vocalist Jenna McDougall collaborated with Parkway Drive on a new track called “Into The Dark”.

TONIGHT ALIVE will join an incredible line-up that also includes Californian metalcore act OF MICE & MEN, who are currently touring America with Slipknot and have their new album Cold World due out in September.

Meanwhile, A DAY TO REMEMBER continue to build massive anticipation for their forthcoming album Bad Vibrations (September 2) with the release of “Naivety,” the latest single to be released from their new record.

Live Review : Soundwave Festival 2015 – Day 2 – Sydney

By Scott Singh
Fall Out Boy at Soundwave Festival 2015 - Sydney

After an explosive day 1, it was time for punters to prepare themselves with another offering of head banging, arm swinging, all round chaos that Soundwave always ensues. Remarkably the grounds were spotless as rejuvenated faces filled the area once more.

Battling the unrelenting humidity was one hundred percent worth the sweaty mess I had become, just to see the amazing talent on show this year at the Brisbane RNA Showgrounds. However, a welcome addition for Brisbane and Sydney venues, that would’ve been dearly missed in Melbourne and Adelaide, was the ‘Comfort Zones’ which provided lucky ticket holders an experience of luxurious proportions with clean amenities, massage services, exclusive bar service and deliciously prepared barista coffee. The perfect opportunity to recharge the batteries.
