BM – How has the tour been treating you so far?
HC – The crowds on this tour have been great and really supportive of my set. I’ve been playing solo for the majority of the shows on this tour and the guys from Oh Mercy have been very kind letting me tag along with them on the road. Continue reading Interview with Helen Croome of Gossling→

After blitzing, wooing and sometimes insulting the crowds at the Peats Ridge and Woodford Festivals at the end of 2010 in what was his live solo debut, ex-Butterfingers front man EVIL EDDIE (EE) chats with LIFE MUSIC MEDIA (LMM) before hitting the road again in February and March 2011 for a run of East Coast shows.
Luscious three-part harmonies soaring above striking melodies and catchy guitar hooks is the sound of Melbourne pop-darlings The Little Stevies. Each song’s a story you’ll want to hear again, as the personalities of all the band members come shining through. Cheeky, charming, moving.
This week nationally syndicated Rock radio show InTheStudio celebrates the 35th Anniversary of Frampton Comes Alive! Show producer and Host Redbeard visits with Peter Frampton. Visit InTheStudio to listen to the show ONLINE!!
“Peter Frampton’s double concert album Frampton Comes Alive! in January 1976 was so phenomenally successful, and his resultant fame so widespread, that it is hard to remember a time when he wasn’t. I remember clearly my disappointment when he left Humble Pie, but was impressed that he wasted no time launching a solo career with the tasty 1972 release Wind of Change. Shortly after the release of the follow-up Frampton’s Camel in 1973, I drove several hundred miles during the Arab Oil Embargo to see Peter Frampton open for the Edgar Winter Group in Massillon Ohio’s football stadium . Even with what looked to be about five feet of stage depth allotted and undoubtedly only half of the P.A. afforded to
Having just finished a tour with Lior, it has been a busy year for GOSSLING, having already supported the likes of Lamb, The Whitlams, Jamie Cullum, Newton Faulkner, Whitley and Mark Scholtez in 2010. In addition Gossling impressed crowds at her own headlining shows in Melbourne and Sydney, all off the back of her EP “If You Can‟t Whistle‟. The impressive debut features the sublime “Days Are Over” which quickly became a regular feature on Triple J’s play list.
Approximately 24 months old, POLAR are a hardcore statement that are already making waves across Europe while securing suport slots with the likes of Gallows. Part of an ever increasing UK hardcore pack, this 5-piece from Guilford, England obliterate the boundaries of hardcore bringing guts, melody and musical intelligence to the fold.

LMM – How have the last 12 months been?

LMM – The most memorable experience…
AW – The most memorable experience we have had is being main support for Bring Me The Horizon for there album launch, it was a very good experience to play with one of the biggest bands in the world and to much younger audience which was a challenge and we feel we won over some new fans.

Evil Eddie releases his debut solo single, ‘Queensland’.
With the song already added to rotation on triple j, the video for ‘Queensland’ is also causing quite a stir around the country. Complete with Gold Coast Meter Maids, bananas, crocodiles, and everything else quintessentially Queensland, the video has (not surprisingly) racked up quite a bit of online exposure, and was featured as Rage’s Indie Clip of the Week
Actress Alinta Chidzey is wowing audiences as she burns up the floor in West Side Story, bringing sass and charm to the role of Anita. Life Music Media caught up with her for the Brisbane leg of the Australian Tour.
For someone who has just taken a quick break from an intense tech week to talk to the media, Alinta Chidzey appears very relaxed.
It’s a sunny day at Southbank in Brisbane, where the cast and crew of the classic musical West Side Story are busily preparing to launch the next leg of their Australian tour. Chidzey sits sipping an orange juice and speaks enthusiastically about the role of Anita – the fiery Puerto Rican immigrant unwillingly caught up in a 50s gang war – for which she is receiving rave reviews. “When you listen to ‘ROPES’, the debut EP from Perth natives LACEY, one of the first things you’ll notice is the band’s incredible penchant for writing sobering, incisive lyrics, phrased perfectly in the sweetest pop melodies. Their rhythms are tight and infections and their tones, soothing. The end result is a sound that unintentionally seductive, but defiantly addictive…” LACEY
