THE SMITH STREET BAND – MAMMOTH “GET HIGH, SEE EVERYONE” TOUR 2015
“Every inch of me is always itching unless I’m on a stage,” sings The Smith Street Band front man Wil Wagner on the opening tracks to their new record Throw Me In The River.
Barely resting since having spent November touring the country to promote the album, which sold out shows in every city including three sold out Corner Hotel shows in their hometown of Melbourne, the band announce their first tour of 2015.
In what has been a stellar year for the group, in which Throw Me In The River has received universal praise, been crowned triple j’s album of the week and debuted in the top 20 of the ARIA chats, 2015 will be much of the same for the band, already filling their calendar with national and international tour dates, including a second appearance at Belgium’s Groezrock Festival.

Live Review | San Cisco + Gunns + Montaigne @ Metro Theatre Sydney – November 27, 2014
Review by Scott Singh
Having been relatively quiet as of late, it was a refreshing encounter to see San Cisco perform at The Metro Theatre. With fans filling the venue during the early stages of the night, you could see that many have seen the band perform live before as groups were discussing their favourite tracks together and singling out that one song that will make their night.
Though the wait would be long to see the band, we were all lucky enough to have two talented support acts fill the void.
Sydney based artist Jessica Cerro took to the stage under her moniker Montaigne and was immediately met with screams of adoring fans, who were eagerly trying to get her attention. The sheer scale of Jessica’s vocal talented subdued any other element of her set. Not to say that the band were subpar to any degree but it was obvious to see where everyone’s gaze was fixated on.

Tour News | Augie March 2015 National Tour

In June 2014, one of Australia’s finest and most-loved bands Augie March announced their return from a six-year hiatus. This very welcome news was swiftly followed by the announcement that the band had quietly been creating a fifth studio album, Havens Dumb, in Hobart and Melbourne over the preceding three years. The band’s return to the live stage came in the form of playing at Howler, a few streets away from the scene of their first-ever show sixteen years earlier, in Brunswick Victoria. They ended up doing five nights in a row by popular demand. It was indeed a triumphant return, with the band in best-ever form, playing better than ever, and enjoying themselves for the first time in a long time.

THE DATSUNS Deep Sleep Australian tour – December 2014
Fire the retro blasters and re-enter the atmosphere…
After some drifting through the deep sonic universe The Datsuns can finally reveal special guests for this Australian tour as it hurtles through the planet.
The Datsuns latest album Deep Sleep elaborates on their signature breakneck-paced rock’n’roll delving into more menacing terrain summoned from the bands collective proto-metal 70s influences; Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Blue Oyster Cult and Bloodrock, to name a few. Semi-tones are thrown in amongst blues scale riffs creating a darker, more evil sound that summons images of 1970s cult film super-villains.
