Sydney blues-rockers The Snowdroppers today announce a huge national headline tour, which will kick off in Canberra on 4 September and continue through October and into November. The band’s forthcoming album ‘BUSINESS’ will be released on the same day through FOUR | FOUR.
The Snowdroppers’ NATIONAL ‘BUSINESS’ TOUR will take in thirteen venues across the country, set to blow the roof off their final show at the Queenscliff Music Festival in VIC on the weekend of 27-28 November. It’s the band’s first national tour in over 18 months, so it’s safe to say the boys will be turbo-charged & ready to explode onto the stage for their best live shows yet! Sydney up-and-coming garage-fuzz rockers Food Court hit the highways as the main support for the East Coast dates.
‘Business’ showcases The Snowdroppers doing what they do best; Down and dirty, with a palpable live energy. Producer Ryan Hazell (The Drones, The Fumes) captures the band’s raw discordant power across twelve album tracks. It’s an unpredictable fusion of everything from classic soul and r’n’b, fuzzed-out stoner riff-rock to distorted country.
Lead single ‘LOVE LETTERS’ was one of the first songs written for the album. What was initially a slow, sultry ballad more in the style of a Bond theme, ended up being spun through a four on the floor Motown-meets-punk-rock turbocharger. Pounding drums, thumping bass and a wall of guitar set the scene. LOVE LETTERS is the dawning panic that the lustre is fading, the well is drying up, the Thrill Is Gone. The realisation that… Baby, you don’t write me love letters any more.
The exhilarating four-piece are bunkered down in tour rehearsals, putting the final touches on what promises to be a blistering set and is sure to set a new benchmark for the band’s sweaty, unruly live shows & convert a new legion of Snowdroppers fans in the process. They’re armed with a swag of new material ready to be experienced live for the first time ever & preparing to unleash their raucous energy on audiences nation-wide.
Australia, get ready. The Snowdroppers are here.
Don’t miss your chance to catch one of the country’s best live acts when they tear up a stage near you later this year…!
