This announce brings a total of 89 acts on the line-up for Lost Paradise with ​further​ local and international acts to be announced…

​Local​ DJ​ collectives include​ SPICE, SASH, PICNIC, bare essentials, something else, boom boom taking over the LOST DISCO​, LOST FOLK​ and PARADISE CLUB ​stages ​ during the course of the 3 day escape​,​ along​​side ​the strong line-up of ​ internationals announced early September​ including boy & bear, Ben Pearce, Sylvan Esso and more​ . ​Electronic, Indie, Dance and Folk are where its at for Lost Paradise attendees.

With Lost Feast pop-up dining in partnership with Bondi eatery The Corner House being revealed on Thursday​,​ whispers of a Circus (!) and more being revealed in the coming weeks​, this exciting​,​ ever​-​ expanding e​vent​ ​is ​​packed full ​ of surprises.

World’s Funniest Island @ Cockatoo Island, Sydney Harbour 16-17 October 2010

World’s Funniest Island is a very special comedy event staged over one weekend on Cockatoo Island in the middle of Sydney Harbour and brings together over 180 acclaimed Australian and International comedy artists.

International talent includes Police Academy legend Michael Winslow, the return of the hit show Allah Made Me Funny, five-time Emmy Award nominee Will Durst and six hilarious stand-out new US comics. Also joining the lineup is the incredible comic mind-reading Philip Escoffey from London in ‘Six Impossible Things Before Dinner’.

Aussie headliners include The Umbilical Brothers, Wil Anderson, the world premiere of viral hit sensation Beached Az Bro Live, Lady Julia Morris, Fiona O’Loughlin, Heath “Chopper” Franklin, Axis of Awesome, Tom Ballard, Tom Gleeson, Mikey Robbins and Claire Hooper.

One ticket includes the short ferry rides to and from the Island and as many shows as you can pack into 12 hours each day. The 16 venues on the spectacular heritage listed island include a bomb shelter, tunnels, and a former prison.

The festival will pack in everything from top comics, sketch shows, comedy burlesque and cabaret to the best of campus comedy, plus music, art, booze, food, camping out and spectacular harbour views to calm you down in amidst all the mayhem.

Come along for one day of chuckles, spend two in stitches or if you’re feeling like a hilarious island getaway is just what you need, camp out for 3 nights on prime Sydney Harbour waterfront!

  The summer festival season is so close we can taste it. And it tastes delicious! The prime course on this summer festival menu is Southbound , WAs only superb and sustainable music, camping and arts festival. Returning to Busselton from the 1st – 3rd January, and proudly presented by triple j, Southbound is the perfect way to bring in the new year.

We are salivating over the line up and are very very excited to bring you this audible feast. So excited, we’re serving up all the juicy acts on one huge announcement platter.

From lands far away are those pioneers of the electro-rock movement, Klaxons, bringing us new material, and New Yorkers Interpol, presenting their hotly anticipated 4th album. Joining them, are slow-burning kings, The National, and set to take it up a notch, all with new material to share are The Rapture, Hot Hot Heat and Cold War Kids.

Splendour In The Grass 2010 – Festival Review

Another year gone by, another 20 odd festivals down and yet nothing could prepare you for the 3 day onslaught that has been 2010’s annual epicentre of music extravaganza.

Splendour In the Grass, is as its name suggests and a culmination of some of the best local and international acts the current mainstream music scene has to offer. Selling out in record time… four months before the gates crashed open on a feature of the most sought after bands on the international circuit; and turning the page on it’ first decade amidst the front line of dramatic competition that encompasses the Australian festival rotation, the Splendour team were proud to announce that for 2010… the overwhelmingly ecstatic crowds could grace Splendours presence in the outlandish setting of Woodfordia, better known as the home of the Woodford folk Festival.

Island Vibe Festival 2009 : Stradbroke Island, QLD 30 Oct – 1 Nov 2009

Island Vibe 2009   Welcome to Island Vibe – Australia’s finest eco festival celebrating music, dance, arts and Island Culture. Island Vibe runs over 3 magical days at Home Beach on Minjerribah (Stradbroke island), less than two hours from downtown Brisbane.

Each year Island Vibe attracts people the world over to gather and enjoy a diverse line up of great reggae, roots, dub, soul, world music and dancehall, whilst cultural dancers, circus performers and visual artists display their talents. As well as hosting a smashing array of international and national acts, a sizeable chunk of the program is dedicated to showcasing the fantastic emerging acts of South East Queensland and the South Pacific. The program this year is expanding to include more Island themed workshops and forums in a dedicated Island Rhythm space.
