Life Music Media caught up with the duo *Alessandro Gaudiosi (Lead Vocals, Synths), Phil Lombardo (Drums, Synths)* to find out more about STRAY!
Hi guys, can you tell us a little about “Stray”?
Well, we are a 2 piece duo who just love pop music. we love to write it, produce it and most of all perform it-
We have just released our EP titeld ‘Sex, Love and Neon Lights‘ which features 5 tracks inspired by the great Michael Jackson and Prince. We really inspirie to write and perform music which has a commercial feel to it and I guess thats what Stray is all about in a nut shell.

Rock legend Jimmy Barnes creates ARIA Chart history
For the first time since May last year, Australian artists take out the top spot on both the ARIA Singles and Album Charts. Guy Sebastian lands the No.1 position on the ARIA Singles Chart with “Like It Like That”, his fourth chart-topping single, making him the only Australian Idol participant to have achieved such a feat. This is the 19th ARIA #1 single to feature an Australian Idol contestant in the six years since the start of the series. In the history of the ARIA charts, Kylie and Delta are the only Aussies with more chart topping singles than Guy, with a tally of ten and eight respectively.
David Guetta holds at the top of the ARIA Singles Chart as The Black Eyed Peas return to #1 on the album chart
David Guetta holds on to top spot on the ARIA Singles Chart for the third week running with his first ARIA No.1 single “Sexy Bitch” (feat. Akon), just managing to hold off Guy Sebastian, who’s single “Like It Like That” moves up two places to No. 2 this week. Blasting back into number one position on the ARIA Album Chart this week is The Black Eyed Peas with “The E.N.D.”, the album returning to the top of the chart for the first time since debuting there twelve weeks ago.
Aussie lads Short Stack take out top spot this week’s ARIA Album Chart with their debut album “Stack Is The New Black”, knocking Michael Jackson from the number one position and becoming the fourth Australian act to top the album chart this year. Their single “Sway, Sway Baby” came close a month ago when it debuted at number two.
David Guetta achieves his first Australian No.1 single this week with “Sexy Bitch” (featuring Akon), knocking The Black Eyed Peas “I Gotta Feeling” off the top of the ARIA Singles Chart after a record-breaking seven week stretch. Guetta appears twice in this week’s top 10, with his former #6 single “When Love Takes Over” (feat. Kelly Rowland) jumping four spots to #7. It’s Akon’s second number one single following “Lonely”, which spent three non-consecutive weeks at the top in 2005. “Sexy Bitch” also takes out the No.1 spot on the ARIA Digital Track Chart this week.
The Black Eyed Peas create ARIA Singles Chart history
The Black Eyed Peas remain unbeatable on the ARIA Singles Chart this week, as they achieve their seventh week straight in the number one spot with “I Gotta Feeling”. It’s the band’s thirteenth consecutive week on top of the chart (something that hasn’t been achieved in sixty-two years) and gives the band their longest running number one single in Australia as it surpasses the six weeks at the top achieved by both “Where Is The Love” and “Boom Boom Pow”. “I Gotta Feeling” also remains on top of the ARIA Digital Track Chart for seven consecutive weeks.
Guy Pratt – Breakfast Of Idiots @ Sit Down Comedy Club – 1st August 2009
by Lisa Lamb
||The charming, witty and charismatic Guy Pratt is a far cry from the sullen, moody Roger Waters, former bass player of Pink Floyd, complaining about his apple pie crust on Live at Pompeii DVD. Gilmore must have thought it was heaven when Pratt joined the Delicate Sound of Thunder tour in 1987. Pratt was shocked when he played Brisbane to discover the BEC car park and surrounding areas where over run with cane toads and that people were playing golf with them while waiting for the gig. These and many more tales are covered in his book My Bass and other animals.
Pratt is a well known session bassist, working alongside some of the most successful musicians in history; Jimmy Page, Madonna, Michael Jackson (who you never actually saw), David Coverdale from White Snake and Robert Palmer, (just to name a few). He is also a songwriter, actor and comedian
and is in Australia doing a Spoken Word Tour which is like stand up comedy based on his amazing life featuring interludes of astounding bass playing. Called the Breakfast of Idiots after Robert Palmer‘s famous breakfast of choice – a cappuccino and a martini.
