Amaya Laucirica celebrates the release of her latest double a-side single ‘Sleeping In Your Shadow / Anywhere She Went’ with a string of national support shows. Fresh from recently sharing the stage with Blonde Redhead and Holly Miranda, Amaya will play 16 dates including Sydney, Geelong, Melbourne, Perth, Canberra, Adelaide, Tasmania and Brisbane when she tours nationally supporting Adalita in March/April/May.

Amaya Laucirica released her well-received second album ‘Early Summer‘ in late 2010. The album was selected as ‘Album of the Week’ on Triple J last November.

Early Summer maintains a constant shift between darkness and light, sadness and hope. These competing shades are perhaps best exemplified by the eerie Sleeping In Your Shadow and the poignant and unadorned simplicity of Anywhere She Went.

Early Summer was recorded by Dave McCluney at Atlantis Studios in Melbourne during late 2009, mixed by Victor Van Vugt (The Moodists, PJ Harvey, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds) at Grace Studios in New York and mastered by Ray Staff (Spiritualized, The Libertines, David Bowie) at Air Studios in London.
