MM9 ANNOUNCE SPLIT!

After nine years, three releases and hundreds of live shows, MM9 have announced that the band is calling it a day. They have cited an inability to “pour 100% of our hearts and souls into the music we’re making” and the fact that “as individuals, we’re heading in different directions,” as the reason for the decision.

MM9 first brought their brand of hard-edged electro-rock to the stages of their hometown of Sydney, and created a groundswell of support that firmly established them as one of Australia’s premier touring acts. Uniquely combining elements of heavy rock & electro, littered with guitar-driven melodies; MM9 became known as a band whose versatility was matched only by the sheer potency of their stage presence.

While maintaining a tireless schedule of touring throughout 2008, 2009 and 2010, including the national Karnivool support, and countless festival appearance, MM9 released their highly anticipated first full length album ‘The Air Between‘ in March of 2010 achieving a Top 10 AIR Chart debut and winning rave reviews.

“To all of you, please accept our deepest appreciation for your support through all of these years. We’ll miss you more than you’ll ever know. Thank you all…again and again…thank you. Ben, Dan, Luke & Kerry – Many Machines on Nine”
