“Our director Tia Toilet wanted to make the most romantic video ever. Our manager described it as “Wine and cheese night on a weird cheap porn/devil worship stage set.” Either way you see it The Universe was completely behind us making this clip because it provided us with a heart shape lounge for $120. Ritchie is currently on a spiritual journey in India, so we made do with generic images of him. It’s kinda like I want to spend every Monday night like this from now on.” – Patience Hodgson
Speaking to Tone Deaf about ‘Call Me’ Patience Hodgson recalls “We’ve always wanted to write a song that had a Cars’eque’ vibe about it, and this song is as close as we’ve ever come. We tried to keep it restrained, but couldn’t hold out on the ending (we love a big ending). It felt like album opener material because it has elements in it that represent lots of different songs on the album.”
