For Guy Pearce, tonight is quite the test. Not only launching his debut album, Broken Bones, but also preparing to break down the boundaries of being pigeon-holed as an actor.

J MASCIS – Tied To A Star / Australia 2015 Tour
Last here in early 2012 for The Falls Festival and multiple sold-out Sydney Festival performances, Dinosaur Jr frontman / guitar-guru J Mascis returns to Australia and New Zealand in February 2015 for Adelaide’s Garden Of Unearthly Delights Aurora Spiegeltent programme, as special guest to premier ambient / noise outfit Mogwai for two shows at Perth International Arts Festival, for headline performances along the Australian east coast (including first time solo appearances in Hobart and Canberra) and for three shows on the north island of New Zealand.
The 2015 tour follows the release of Tied To A Star, the second solo album from Mascis that picks up exactly where 2011’s debut Several Shades Of Why left off.

Darren Hanlon Announces 2014 Christmas Tour
If there’s one constant in the disjointed life of Darren Hanlon, it’s his annual Yuletide show series. “The years seem to get faster but for me the Christmas tour is the playing card in the spokes that mark each turn,” he says.

The hardworking organisers of December’s inaugural GINGERFEST fundraising mini-festival are simply stoked to unveil the second batch of acts on their bumper punk rock line-up. Gingerfest is an exceptional and highly anticipated all day event conceptualised in memory of Canberra man Nicholas Sofer-Schreiber, who was tragically murdered in late 2013. Known widely and affectionately as ‘The Ginger Ninja’, Nicholas was a long-time and much loved stalwart of the Canberra punk rock community. A cooperative of Sofer-Schreiber’s friends from all corners of the punk rock community have banded together to raise vital funds for Vision Australia in his name, through GINGERFEST.
