A Tribe Called Red have announced they will be heading to Australia to perform for the first time an extensive run of shows throughout the east-coast including headline dates as well as Australian Music Week, The Sydney Opera House’s ‘Homeground’. A Tribe Called Red aims to challenge stereotypes about indigenous people by using video segments taken from pop culture (movies, cartoons) in order to poke fun of the racist imagery. They not only mix tradition with contemporary art via music+video, but also their dancer who mix b-boy style with traditional hoop dancing.

The Amity Affliction, A Day To Remember, Motionless In White and The Ghost Inside will now kick start the ‘Big Ass Tour’ with an R15 show at the Logan Campbell Centre in Auckland on Thursday 10 December, in what will be one of the biggest rock shows of the year.
