Reviewer / Photographer: Wezzy Cruze
Friday, November 28th, 2014 marked a great day for rock n’ roll enthusiasts.
With the highly anticipated release of ‘Rock or Bust’, the 16th release from AC/DC hitting the shelves of stores worldwide, it was in Brisbane, Queensland that the locals were treated to a one of a kind performance being put on by one of Australia’s greatest pub rock bands, The Choirboys, as they performed the classic AC/DC album, ‘High Voltage’ in its entirety.
The Choirboys were doing a six date tour over three different cities, with ‘High Voltage’ being preformed on the Friday night, and ‘Highway To Hell’ on Saturday evening. Each album’s set was also followed by a great hour long performance consisting of classic hits from The Choirboys back catalogue.

Tour News | Augie March 2015 National Tour

In June 2014, one of Australia’s finest and most-loved bands Augie March announced their return from a six-year hiatus. This very welcome news was swiftly followed by the announcement that the band had quietly been creating a fifth studio album, Havens Dumb, in Hobart and Melbourne over the preceding three years. The band’s return to the live stage came in the form of playing at Howler, a few streets away from the scene of their first-ever show sixteen years earlier, in Brunswick Victoria. They ended up doing five nights in a row by popular demand. It was indeed a triumphant return, with the band in best-ever form, playing better than ever, and enjoying themselves for the first time in a long time.

Q&A with Karl S. Williams

Currently on tour (November-December 2014) in support of his new album ‘Heartwood’, KARL S. WILLIAMS took time our for LifeMusicMedia…
:: What track changed your life ::
Dark Was The Night, Cold Was The Ground by Blind Willie Johnson. A wordless and primitive expression of pure beauty. It showed me that all artifice could be done away with and the song could be whittled to its core, transcending even language.
:: What is your favourite Album ::
Probably Pink Floyd – Wish You Were Here. I have listened to it a million times and it always works.

THE DATSUNS Deep Sleep Australian tour – December 2014
Fire the retro blasters and re-enter the atmosphere…
After some drifting through the deep sonic universe The Datsuns can finally reveal special guests for this Australian tour as it hurtles through the planet.
The Datsuns latest album Deep Sleep elaborates on their signature breakneck-paced rock’n’roll delving into more menacing terrain summoned from the bands collective proto-metal 70s influences; Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Blue Oyster Cult and Bloodrock, to name a few. Semi-tones are thrown in amongst blues scale riffs creating a darker, more evil sound that summons images of 1970s cult film super-villains.
