ROYAL CHANT ‘Raise Your Glass & Collapse’ Tour Dates – February 2011

  What doesn’t kill us takes a long time to make us stronger. It’s a statement that the four individuals from the mid-north coast of New South Wales who comprise ROYAL CHANT bid you consider well, through the ten tracks of their debut album RAISE YOUR GLASS & COLLAPSE.

The album has been a labour of love for Royal Chant. Like a fine wine, the songs (and sometimes the band) required a lot of beating, stomping-on and being kept in the dark to mature, but the result is an impressive collection of tracks, indicative of the human condition – barbaric, sometimes chaotic, but mostly beautiful. Though framed in intelligent and skillful sounds, the songs are subtle and simple in substance. They are an invitation to be vulnerable; to share love, doubt, anger, loss, resignation, being human, and being less-than human – as complicated or straightforward as you want them to be.

EVIL EDDIE ‘East Coast’ Tour – February | March 2011 [Tour News]

  After blitzing, wooing and sometimes insulting the crowds at the Peats Ridge and Woodford Festivals at the end of 2010 in what was his live solo debut, ex-Butterfingers front man Evil Eddie is set to hit the road again in February and March for a run of East Coast shows.

On the tour, which includes shows in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne, Evil brings with him an all star Brisbane based backing band which boasts members of Butterfingers, Laneous and the Family Yah and Spitfireliar.

Since the release of his first single ‘Queensland’ at the end of last year, Eddie has been causing quite a stir around the country.

  LEENA’s debut set of songs on the ‘Mean Old Clock EP’ introduces a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist with a sunny exterior, and, upon closer listen, a darker core. LEENA has travelled the globe, recorded from Bronte to Burbank and worked a charmingly odd array of jobs along the way. She’s currently selling bespoke suits in Melbourne by day and writing her somewhat world-weary songs at night.
