EVIL EDDIE ‘East Coast’ Tour – February | March 2011 [Tour News]

  After blitzing, wooing and sometimes insulting the crowds at the Peats Ridge and Woodford Festivals at the end of 2010 in what was his live solo debut, ex-Butterfingers front man Evil Eddie is set to hit the road again in February and March for a run of East Coast shows.

On the tour, which includes shows in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne, Evil brings with him an all star Brisbane based backing band which boasts members of Butterfingers, Laneous and the Family Yah and Spitfireliar.

Since the release of his first single ‘Queensland’ at the end of last year, Eddie has been causing quite a stir around the country.

Sydney band The Holidays have announced they’ll be taking their dreamy, palm tree jams on the road again with a national headline tour in April.


Post Paradise (Bonus Track Version) - The Holidays – Post Paradise (Bonus Track Version) 		  The band’s self produced, debut album Post Paradise, has proven to be a critic’s favourite and ended last year picking up The Age EG award for ‘Best Album’ and landing the year’s final Triple J Feature Album. LEENA announced as support for ANDREW MCMAHON Tour [Tour News]

  LEENA’s debut set of songs on the ‘Mean Old Clock EP’ introduces a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist with a sunny exterior, and, upon closer listen, a darker core. LEENA has travelled the globe, recorded from Bronte to Burbank and worked a charmingly odd array of jobs along the way. She’s currently selling bespoke suits in Melbourne by day and writing her somewhat world-weary songs at night. With hints of the sophistication of Neil Finn, the moxie of Jenny Lewis, and the wistfulness of Cat Power, LEENA’s songs show us she’s a hopeful observer and a thoughtful old soul and we are delighted to confirm that LEENA will be supporting ANDREW MCMAHON across Australia this February.

Summer Rhythm Festival @ Goolabri Resort, Canberra – 19-20 February 2011 [Festival News]

Buy Tickets		   The Summer Rhythm Festival debuted in December 2009 with an outstanding success. In 2011 the Festival looks to be bigger and better and continues to be a not for profit event, this year promoting Mental Health awareness.

The Festival, featuring 3 stages, is to be held on the grounds of Goolabri Resort, on the ACT border just minutes from Canberra off the Federal Highway.

Supported by the local community and presented by Strange Hours the festival aims to broaden people’s knowledge of mental health through a two day musical event.

The event will be on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th February, with overnight camping space available. This is a not for profit event, Summer Rhythm will make a donation to Beyond blue.
