Zoo Twilights at Melbourne Zoo today announce their full lineup for their annual summer concert series. Running every weekend in 2018 from Friday 26 January until Saturday 10 March, Zoo Twilights is the ultimate destination for music lovers of all ages, offering the unparalleled thrill of live music set within the Zoo’s world-class grounds, with every ticket sold going back into Zoos Victoria’s ongoing commitment to fight extinction.
||They’ve conquered the Great Wall, gorged themselves on Peking Duck and made tracks through the Forbidden City, now The Vasco Era are back and itching to show you their cultural side on their Back From China tour.
After playing to crowds of over 6,000 at China’s longest-running rock music festival (Midi fest), sharing the bill with the likes of U.S. metal act Soulfly and Chinese premiere league rockers, Tang Dynasty, the local lads showcased their latest release – Lucille –
in a more intimate setting, at D22 bar, Beijing, and Vox bar, Wuhan to rave reviews.
Powderfinger announced their good mates, You Am I, will be joining them at the final Brisbane show alongside Jet at the Riverstage on Saturday 13th November. Tim and the boys have been massive supporters and friends from the very beginning, taking Powderfinger on tour when no one else would. We’re honoured to have them as very special guests at the final ever gig!

Powderfinger Fan Club pre sale commences for new shows in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth at 12 noon on Friday, 14 May, 2010 and closes at midnight.
Tickets for the new shows in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth and Cairns go on sale at 9.00am on Monday, 17 May, 2010.
||As details were announced today that Melbourne’s own JET will join Brisbane’s Powderfinger on their upcoming national ‘Sunsets – The Farewell Tour’ throughout September and October, the million plus album selling rockers will be in Australia for a promotional tour from Tuesday April 13 to Friday April 16. Earlier this week, Jet’s She’s A Genius hit was announced as one of the nominated APRA ‘Song Of The Year’ Awards along with Empire Of The Sun, The Middle East, Temper Trap and others.
The 2010 winner will be announced at the APRA Awards on Monday 21st June.
Australia’s biggest band, Powderfinger, announced details of their most extensive Australian tour to date at a press conference today together with the news that they will be disbanding following the tour.
This will be Powderfinger’s first major national tour since the hugely successful Across the Great Divide tour with Silverchair almost 3 years ago.
The bill for Odyssey NYE ’09 continues to grow from strength to strength following the announcement of the second round lineup which includes Grinspoon, Bliss n Eso, Phrase, Malente and Ministry of Sound’s latest spinning sensation, Sam La More, with many more to still to be announced.
This collection of rock, dance and hip hop artists compliment an already turbo-charged lineup including headline act Jet, Eskimo Joe and The Butterfly Effect, making Odyssey NYE ’09, at its new home of Carrara Sports Complex on the Gold Coast, its biggest party to date.
Grinspoon’s 2007 album release Alibis & Other Lies has the band nominated in various categories at this weekend’s ARIA awards including Album of the Year, Best Group and Best Rock release.
