The album that spawned three radio hits and made them one of the most successful young bands in Australia, sent the band on a hectic touring schedule that included three sold out headline tours and ended with their first appearance on the Big Day Out.

“Weird Al” Yankovic Australian Tour 2011 [Tour News]

“Weird Al” Yankovic, the undisputed king of pop culture parody, has sold more comedy recordings than any other artist in history. In a career spanning nearly three decades, he has amassed 30 Gold and Platinum albums, 7 Gold and Platinum-certified home videos and 3 Grammy Awards (with 11 nominations).

The singer-songwriter’s first real brush with fame came in 1979 when he recorded “My Bologna” (a spoof of The Knack’s “My Sharona”) in the bathroom across the hall from his college campus radio station where he had a weekly DJ shift. A devoteé of musical satirists Spike Jones, Tom Lehrer, Allan Sherman and Stan Freberg, Yankovic’s budding career took off when the song became a sensation on the nationally syndicated “Dr. Demento Show.” Just a few years later, Al landed his first recording contract and has since created an extraordinary legacy of music and ground-breaking videos, including hits like “Eat It,” “Like A Surgeon” and “Amish Paradise.”

Motörhead Australian Tour 2011 – [Tour News]

RED ANT TOURING PROUDLY PRESENTS
“Everything Louder Than Everything Else”
Motörhead return to Australia to raise hell in the service of rock ‘n roll in 2011.

“Lemmy is a God. He is the reason. He is the last man standing and no one comes close” – Dave Grohl

Motörhead play – correction – Motörhead ARE loud, fast, dirty, bluesy rock ‘n roll with an unrivaled, ruthless attitude; obnoxious yet dignified. For over 35 years the band has maintained their strong hold as a force of unrelenting sonic power, pounding their music into the ear drums of audiences all over the world; reducing the masses into exhausted, sweat soaked, tinnitus-suffering submission, and leaving them begging for more.

The band has uniquely pioneered both heavy metal and punk rock, and is revered by aficionados of both genres. Theirs is a sound and a way of being that sees their fan base continue to grow year after year, and that has rightfully solidified Motörhead as living legends of hard rock.

URIAH HEEP ‘EAVY BRITISH ROCK LEGENDS RETURN ‘DOWNUNDA’ IN 2011 WITH A GREATEST HITS TOUR

It’s been over 25 years since the legendary Uriah Heep have played on Australian soil. In that time we’ve witnessed a lot of changes to our musical landscape: the birth, death and rebirth of trends, musical marriages and mix-ups, assassinations and cultural revolutions, and of course the dawn of the digital age. Through all of this, Uriah Heep has ensured at least one constant on the horizon – a hard, heavy rock band that continues to deliver.

The Beautiful Girls ‘My Mind is an Echo Chamber’ Australian Summer Tour – Jan 2011 [Tour News]

‘My Mind is an Echo Chamber’ was a song title before it was a song. The music comes from a love of dancehall and dub… punk rock and a sense of longing… distorted guitars and analog synths…the good kind…the kind with the broken faders. It’s King Tubby and Barrington Levy booming from a ghetto blaster set up on the side of an empty pool. It’s Scratch Perry lacing up his chucks and eating a burrito con pollo with lyrics from a Morrissey song swimming in his brain. Tape echoes, blue horns and skittering drums.

‘My Mind is an Echo Chamber’ is the third single off The Beautiful Girls fourth record Spooks . Following in the footsteps of its high rotation predecessors ‘Don’t Wait’ and ‘10:10’.

Suicidal Tendencies – Australian tour announced for May 2011!

SUICIDAL TENDENCIES were never afraid of a little controversy. The godfathers of crossover thrash and creators of skate punk have dedicated their careers to delivering the middle finger salute to anyone who opposed their views (which included LA authorities who banned them for playing in the city for 6 years)

Playing their irrepressible blend of punk, thrash, funk and hardcore, SUICIDAL TENDENCIES are certainly true to their ideals of ‘no rules.’ Mike Muir’s extreme sincerity and full of rage ravings have garnered the ST Army the world over. “In typical fashion the band was explosive in their playing with Mike running all over the stage delivering his lines. The whole building seemed to shake with everyone screaming as one.” – Metal Army

Unbelievably influential, without SUICIDAL TENDENCIES you would not have the myriad of thrash metal and vicious hard-core bands that permeate the modern musical landscape. Delivering the fast-paced, aggressive and raw sound they pioneered, SUICIDAL TENDENCIES will be getting Cyco on their Australian tour next May…ST….ST….ST….ST!

ZZ Top Australian Tour – April 2011 [Tour News]

Blues-rock legends ZZ Top return to Australia next April and their image has been as unchanging and memorable as their music. The legendary Texan trio has been together for more than 40 years and were inducted by Keith Richards into the “Rock and Roll Hall of Fame” in 2004. It’s a remarkable achievement that they’re still very much together after more than 40 years of being on the road and in the studio.

An evening with Andrew McMahon (Something Corporate/Jacks Mannequin) – Australian tour announced! [Tour News]

With two influential bands and a sold out solo tour of the USA under his belt, ANDREW MCMAHON thoroughly deserves his place as a true star in the music scene. Best known as the piano-pounding front man of Something Corporate and Jackʼs Mannequin, his smooth voice and touching lyrics have amassed loyal and adoring fans the world over.

To a music fan of any age, the name Something Corporate brings back a flood of memories and induces dewy-eyed nostalgia. With pensive piano and chugging guitars, ANDREW MCMAHON wrote sincerely of loneliness, homesickness and longing, ensuring the band’s enduring appeal. “SoCo was light years ahead of its time, insightful and smart” (Riverfront Times), paving the way for the numerous melancholic introspective bands that followed after their hiatus in 2004.

Weaving beautiful metaphors through piano-laced rock, ANDREW MCMAHON’s live shows are stuff of legend, “Whether it was through his animated facial expressions, sharing his presence with the different sides of the stage, or jumping off the piano… McMahon knew exactly how to get his fans to that feverish pitch that felt as if it could bring down the whole building.” – Rocknroll Ghost

Power-pop and piano-rock has never sounded so sincere and we are delighted to confirm ANDREW MCMAHON will be touring Australia in February. With help from Bobby Anderson he will be performing songs acoustically from his brilliant solo career along with definitive hits from Something Corporate and Jack’s Mannequin.
