It’s been some time since I’ve visited the Old Museum, and it’s pleasing to see that the concert hall’s spacious natural reverb is still there. In hindsight, The Church couldn’t have chosen a more apt venue for the Brisbane launch of their new album Further/Deeper than the Old Museum: a stately red brick building that indeed resembles a place of worship.

Due to overwhelming demand for tickets to see Sleep (USA) in Brisbane – life is noise and Crowbar have announced that the sold-out show at Crowbar on December 11 is moving to The Hi-Fi, Brisbane.

Sleep live is like mass hypnosis – a psychic trip of gargantuan proportions under the guidance of three sonic shamans. There’s never been a better time to be a Sleep fan – especially if you live in Brisbane.

Those hoping to ascend the Holy Mountain and see Sleep live, extra tickets to the show on December 11 at 8pm – are on sale now.
All existing tickets to Crowbar are still valid at The Hi-Fi and ticketholders will be contacted and advised of the change of venue.

Please Note: the only change to the show is the relocation to a bigger venue.

Live Review | Bluejuice + The Aston Shuffle + Jody @ The Metro Theatre, Sydney – October 26, 2014

Bluejuice @ The Metro Theatre, Sydney
It is hard to summarise the night that was spent watching the glorious men of Bluejuice give it their all at the Metro Theatre for the last time, only because the night was filled with so much substance that I know something will linger past this review and remain with those who witnessed the show.

To start off the night, the relatively fresh band Jody welcomed the crowd with a breezy disposition, drawing a great likeness to the summer-indie image that more developed bands have owned. This kind of familiarity did take away from the experience the band was trying to deliver.
