Closure In Moscow (CIM) are pleased to announce the release date for their sophomore full length ‘Pink Lemonade’ and the Pink Lemonade album tour. The album will be released independently through MGM on May 9th. It’s been a while between drinks, so those boffins at CIM HQ ran focus groups day and night to hone in on exactly what would satiate the hungry masses, baying for more sexy tunes from the Melbourne quintet… The results are conclusive! Turns out it’s all about quantity over quality, so this thing clocks in at over 60 minutes! That’s longer than an episode of The Block, and since that’s about to leave a gaping cultural void the guys figured it would be the perfect time to step up and slide up into that void like a warm kitten.

The Phoncurves announce ‘Heartstrings’ EP + Tour
Following on from the success of their debut single ‘Heartstrings’ and new single ‘Lover’, Brisbane two-piece The Phoncurves are proud to announce the reveal of their new Heartstrings EP, due for release on May 2. The harmonising duo will celebrate with a national headline tour of Australia through May and June.
Both instrumentally unique and soulful singles are happily whirling around the country on triple j and community radio, receiving outstanding praise. Live Review | Monster Magnet + King of the North + Arrowhead @ Hi-Fi Bar, Sydney – April 4, 2014

To say that we were a little concerned about Monster Magnet’s set upon reaching the HiFi Bar just as the doors were opening would be an understatement. Simply put, there was very little sign of life. Granted, it was a dismal evening with some drizzle and cold Autumn winds blowing through, but there was hot night of raucous rock and roll to be enjoyed inside.
Regardless, Sydney band Arrowhead opened the night’s festivities to an almost empty room, rocking out with an energetic mix of mid-paced stoner/desert/Sabbath vibes. The three-piece made a beautiful racket and the small crowd clearly appreciated their driving, grooving slabs of riffage.

VIOLENT SOHO announce biggest headline tour to date with special guests THE SMITH STREET BAND
“We sit around on couches, buying what we think makes us who we are, like a hungry ghost”, it was these words from Kalle Lasn’s book Culture Jam that resonated with Violent Soho’s Luke Boerdam and acted as a major influence on him while penning the Mansfield (4122) band’s highly acclaimed third record, Hungry Ghost, which has subsequently lead to ‘Soho’ (as their loyal fans refer to them as) enjoying a whirlwind of success over the last nine months.
Violent Soho will be heading out on their biggest national tour to date this July and taking Melbourne’s The Smith Street Band with them as special guest supports – a tour that promises to wow crowds all over the country and have kids jumping from everything in sight.

Frontier Touring has announced that brother-sister duo Broods will be joining Ellie Goulding on her forthcoming tour of Australia and New Zealand!
This tops off what has been a huge year for Georgia and Caleb Nott from Nelson, New Zealand with the release of their hugely successful debut single ‘Bridges’ (watch the clip for ‘Bridges’ here) and their first self-titled EP (download Broods EP here).
Since its release in October last year, the single has racked up almost half a million plays on Soundcloud, in addition to the duo nearing 12,000 likes on Facebook!
