Rock luminary JACK WHITE will be performing two headline shows in Melbourne and Sydney this July to showcase material from his much anticipated solo debut Blunderbuss (out 20 April through Sony).

Undoubtedly one of the world’s most prolific artists to emerge in the past fifteen years, Jack White has helmed some of the world’s most venerable musical outfits including The White Stripes, The Raconteurs and The Dead Weather.

The multitalented musician, eminent producer and successful label owner has taken home nine Grammys in seven different categories, proving his versatility and prowess within all endeavours. Blunderbuss is no exception.

The first single ‘Love Interruption’ from his most recent endeavour was quickly devoured and doted upon, as was follow up track ‘Sixteen Saltines’, leaving critics and fans hungry for more:

Greetings music lovers! After weeks of speculation, the time has finally come.

In 2012 SPLENDOUR IN THE GRASS embarks on a new chapter in the life of Australia’s favourite winter festival. Back home at Byron Bay, from July 27 to 29 Splendour will once again transform Belongil Fields into the ultimate playground for music and arts enthusiasts.

Splendour returns to Byron Bay with 3 full days of knockout talent from around the globe! And while the site will feel familiar to many, it will also include all the bells and whistles from 2011.

“The show has grown over the past few years with the addition of an extra day. We have a bunch more bands on the lineup and new venues like The Forum, the Very Small Mall and Day Spa etcetera plus we’ve got some surprises in store this year. In 2012 Splendour will host its most eclectic gathering of artists to date. After a series of acclaimed EPs Mount Kimbie dropped their 2010 debut album ‘Crooks & Lovers’. A mixture of post-rock, garage beats and traditional songwriting the record was a stunning cohesion of influences.
