Camping next to cars, three nights of programming plus a brand new night to kick things off – Friday Night Fever, where it’s all about the fancy dress get up, our dance off comp and having an awesome opening night party in an intimate capped capacity.

  Established in 1997 and with only 4 albums under their belt to date, Interpol have decided to go it alone for the self-released and self-titled 2010 offering. Kick starting with ‘Success’, the New York based quartet delightfully introduce their brand of Indie that over the years has refused to shift in any fashionable sense.

The next step of ‘Memory Serves’ is an atmospheric, thumping masterpiece that captures loneliness and loss with beauty and an infectious groove. The vocal line “You don’t have say that you’d love to – but baby please that you want to – some day…” resonating far passed the song’s inception.

The off-kilter latter beats of this composition making way for ‘Summer Well’ – a more spritely drum and piano medley. Breaking into an uplifting yet damning verse of harmonies, vocalist Paul Banks inviting drones raise precisely on time for a hop, skip and jump to graceful emotional ruin.

  The summer festival season is so close we can taste it. And it tastes delicious! The prime course on this summer festival menu is Southbound , WAs only superb and sustainable music, camping and arts festival. Returning to Busselton from the 1st – 3rd January, and proudly presented by triple j, Southbound is the perfect way to bring in the new year.

We are salivating over the line up and are very very excited to bring you this audible feast. So excited, we’re serving up all the juicy acts on one huge announcement platter.

From lands far away are those pioneers of the electro-rock movement, Klaxons, bringing us new material, and New Yorkers Interpol, presenting their hotly anticipated 4th album. Joining them, are slow-burning kings, The National, and set to take it up a notch, all with new material to share are The Rapture, Hot Hot Heat and Cold War Kids.
