TRIVIUM With Very Special Guests IN FLAMES Announce Australian Tour

TRIVIUM_1MB
With a swag of awards and sold out stadium tours across the globe left in their wake, TRIVIUM will be returning to Australia this November with very special guests IN FLAMES.

Widely tipped for greatness (some prophecies come true!) after their successful sophomore release, ‘Ascendancy’ in 2005, Kerrang! declared it “the most skull-peeling collection of pulverising metal grooves and fretboard annihilation you’ll hear in a long time.” Four studio albums later, TRIVIUM are continuing their climb towards metal greatness with the release of their new album, ‘Vengeance Falls’. “Drawing together crunchy riffs, snarling vitriol, blistering shred-fests and stadium sized choruses it ticks all the boxes.” – Alternative Press

Confession enter studio for new album – April 2011

Melbourne’s Confession is currently in Gothenburg, Sweden tracking their new full-length, the follow up to 2009’s Cancer. The latest record will be produced by Fredrik Nordström whose production credits include Bring Me The Horizon, I Killed The Prom Queen and In Flames.

Frontman Michael Crafter commented “We spent time in Byron Bay at the Parkway house writing this record. Hopefully some of the magic the house has brought forward in the past shines through on these new songs. The new album is something we are proud of and touches on a lot of things in and around the lives we live. We decided to head to Sweden due to the fact European’s know metal and we feel Frederik will make this CD sound massive and he will bring a lot to the table as far as production and ideas go”

Expect the new album out in the coming months.

Interview with Winston McCall of Parkway Drive [Part 2]

READ PART 1 OF THIS INTERVIEW HERE.    –    READ FINAL PART OF INTERVIEW HERE!

Winston McCallLMM – Parkway Drive have played with some huge names in metal, like Killswitch Engage, Chimaira and In Flames. They’re all huge names in your genre so do you think there’s a reason that you feel a little bit more intimidated playing on the No Sleep Til tour?

WM – Well definitely because there’s a bunch of bands on the line up that we’re really good friends with..ie a Day to Remember among others but at the same time there’s bands that I’ve wanted to see for a hell of a long time that I’ve never gotten to see before, like NOFX and of course Descendants. We found out about NOFX first and we though to play with them would be insane cause we’re all massive NOFX fans from way back, we’re pretty big punk fans! Then we found out about Descendants those freaks! It’s insane to have a bill like that and its mind warping we’re playing with them. Its gunna be a really, really long day put it that way!

Soundwave 2009 Festival second round announced

As promised, Soundwave returns in ’09, and to paraphrase Southpark, it is bigger, longer and uncut!
Topped by one of this generation’s most talented and uncompromising bands in NINE INCH NAILS, the festival also sees a long overdue return of grunge titans ALICE IN CHAINS and juvenile delinquents The BLOODHOUND GANG.

Never one to rest on there laurels, they’ve announced the second round of artists for Soundwave 09!
So without further ado… joining the already massive cast will be the powerful live force that is the Dillinger Escape Plan, Florida Metalcore titans Underoath, the sky-high hooks of Forever The Sickest Kids, pop rock balladeers Jack’s Mannequin and the unrelenting rhythms of All That Remains.
As always, there is also plenty to offer the fans of punk, metal and the heavier end of the alternative spectrum, as well as signing tents giving artists the opportunity to meet fans, market stalls and the odd bit of crappy installation art for you to laugh at.
