19 year old Blues sensation from the UK, Aaron Keylock, has just released his first album, ‘Cut Against The Grain’ (Jan 17, 2017)… I had a chat with him about the record, his background, and his music. He’s toured extensively with some quality blues and southern rock bands over the past 3 or 4 years, and has also played the Bloodstock and Download festivals, and the Ramblin’ Man Fair.

Aaron Keylock: Cut Against The Grain

Touted as one of the UKs hottest acts by Kerrang!, Total Guitar, Metal Hammer & Classic Rock, 19 year old Aaron Keylock has received rave reviews in advance of his highly anticipated debut album Cut Against The Grain – out today. The young gunslinger headed to LA to record Cut Against The Grain in 2016 with producer Fabrizio Grossi who has previously worked with Alice Cooper, Dave Navarro, Slash and Zakk Wylde. The album highlights a prodigious young British rock talent completely at one with his guitar, blasting out his first songs with a raw and powerful attitude.

Album Review : AARON KEYLOCK – Cut Against The Grain

From the opening riff of All The Right Moves it appears that the UK has produced another stunning young talent in Aaron Keylock, able to combine the truly British classic 60’s and 70’s blues rock sound of Free and the Clapton, Beck, Page-era guitarists, with a modern American southern rock twist! Hints of early Black Keys or White Stripes in the stripped-down riff and drum lines combine with a greater variety of guitar sounds and raw vocals.
