Last years SOLD OUT Purple Sneakers New Years Eve House Party saw 2,500 people partying over three levels of Manning House with 10 bands, 3 internationals, and a bucket load of DJs. It was SUPER MASSIVE, and it’s gonna be hard to top it. That means this year at Manning House there will be more party people, more international acts, and more party areas than ever before for Purple Sneakers New Years Eve House Party. This will be the only Sydney show for three international acts that have never been to Australia: The Boxer Rebellion (UK), Ponytail (US) and Baddies (UK). British epic indie band The Boxer Rebellion are currently receiving critical acclaim for their album Union, which also received the distinguished achievement of being the first album to hit the

US billboard charts without actually having an official release – it has sold close to 250,000 units digitally in the USA. Whilst Baltimore based art rockers Ponytail have been voted as one of the best live bands in the world and described as a tornado of awesome. UK indie punks Baddies have had a huge year having played just about every festival possible (Glastonbury, Roskilde, Pukkelpop, Reading etc). They create catchy-as-anything break-neck punky indie pop comparable to bands like The Futureheads and The Rakes.

Australias best loved party band The Grates will be headlining Purple Sneakers New Years Eve House Party!! Meanwhile the rest of the Aussie bands consist of some of the hottest acts around, including: Philadelphia Grand Jury, Red Riders, DZ, Chaingang, The Trivs, Young Heretics and Deep Sea Arcade. And to make sure theres enough p-a-r-t-y happening on the dancefloors we have three stages featuring local and international DJs and dance acts still to be announced.
