Nordic metal longhairs Graveyard will return to Australia in March 2015 for Golden Plains Festival and have announced headline shows in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.
Before Gothenburg’s GRAVEYARD had their own brand of beer in Sweden, or won a Swedish Grammy for Best Hard Rock album, or landed on three Billboard charts and multiple “Best of 2011” lists with their album ‘Hisingen Blues’, they caught the attention of Rolling Stone’s David Fricke at SXSW in 2008. “They blew a few dozen minds,” Fricke said.
With a distinct sound Graveyard stand out from the crowd. Be it classic rock, blues, jazz, folk – you name it – the authentic quintet makes it sound real at any time. Carrying the torch from the Hellacopters and Turbonegro, Graveyard are one the best new HARD ROCK bands in the world right now, inspiring a reputation as Sweden’s 21st Century answer to Black Sabbath
Graveyard’s acclaimed sophomore album Hisingen Blues, catapulted them into that rare space where authenticity is evident and effortless. Their natural understanding of both rock and the blues lends itself to a fluid sound that instantly transcends any retro tags.
