The Church Band, Seekae, Voyager among 40+ Acts Added To BIGSOUND Live 2014
The BIGSOUND juggernaut continues to roll as another 40+ artists are added to the Live lineup for the two-night festival of new music. Running the nights of September 10 – 11, BIGSOUND engulfs Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley, taking in 140 hot new artists across 14 live venues.
The new lineup announcement welcomes the church, Seekae, Voyager , Nicholas Albrook, The Funkoars, Pierce Brothers, Hayden James, Art of Sleeping and Canada’s July Talk to the fold. They add to an already breathtaking list that includes the likes of Gold Fields, DMA’s, Holy Holy, BAD//DREEMS, Client Liaison, KINGSWOOD and REMI.

Kingswood announce new Single + Australian Tour
Melbourne indie-rockers Kingswood have unleashed their latest single ‘I Can Feel That You Don’t Love Me’ from the forthcoming album ‘Microscopic Wars’ which will be released through Dew Process. Recorded at Blackbird Studios in Nashville, Tennessee, the debut long-player sees the band team up with Grammy Award winning producer Vance Powell (Jack White, Arctic Monkeys, Kings Of Leon) and is set for release Friday August 22nd.

JOHN BUTLER TRIO bring their ‘Flesh & Blood’ tour to regional Queensland – October 2014

The global release of ‘Flesh & Blood’ has seen the John Butler Trio receive the highest of accolades and sell out concerts around the world as they’ve introduced new drummer Grant Gerathy and their sixth studio album to devoted fans over the past 6 months. Come October, Queenslanders will get their live JBT fill as the band returns home for a brief run of shows in that region. It’s been two years since the band last played Kuranda and since John was in North Queensland performing solo in Mackay and Townsville and 3 years since they played Bundaberg and 4 years since they ventured to Toowoomba. JBT will also return to the Sunshine Coast taking part in the Caloundra Music Festival. Live Nation Global Touring have announced that Sting & Paul Simon, two of music’s most renowned and enduring artists, will bring their critically-acclaimed On Stage Together tour to Australia and New Zealand in January and February 2015.
The tour kicks off Friday, January 30th at Vector Arena in Auckland and will continue on to select cities and venues including the Brisbane Entertainment Centre, Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne and Qantas Credit Union Arena in Sydney in addition to events in the picturesque outdoor venues of Coopers Brewery in Adelaide, Hope Estate Winery in the Hunter Valley and two A Day On The Green shows at Mt Duneed Estate (formerly The Hill Winery) in Geelong and Sir James Mitchell Park in Perth.
