With Brisbane selling out in under a day we are thrilled to announce that the Sydney show has now sold out as well! Never one for resting on their laurels, A Day To Remember will now be playing a second and definitely FINAL Sydney show on Saturday 14 May at the Big Top, Luna Park.

Birds of Tokyo – Queensland Shows – May 2011 [Gig News]

Having recently been hailed for their killer live performances across the Big Day Out tour, Birds Of Tokyo now announce two Queensland shows for May 2011. The band will play The Tivoli in Brisbane on Wednesday May 11 and the Lake Kawana Community Centre on the Sunshine Coast, Thursday May 12. |
Birds of Tokyo need no introduction. In 2010 the band released their chart topping self titled third studio album which is still sitting comfortably in the top 20 eight months after release with sales well surpassed platinum.

Norway’s red tracksuit party masters Datarock are excited to announce they will be returning to Australia in May for Groovin’ the Moo and will be partying it up with special headline shows along the east coast.
Datarock will be performing at The Zoo in Brisbane 4th May, Oxford Art Factory in Sydney 5th May and East Brunswick Club in Melbourne 12th May. |

Former Tea Party frontman JEFF MARTIN forms new band with J Cortez (The Sleepy Jackson/The Armada) and Malcolm Clarke (The Sleepy Jackson/The Basement Birds).
The Jeff Martin 777 project officially came together in 2010. While Jeff spent the majority of the year touring constantly both here & abroad, inbetween shows, Jeff, J (bass) and long-time friend Malcolm (drums) would come together to knock out songs at Malcolm’s Yo-Yo Studio in Perth. The end result sees this super-tight trio come up trumps with their debut studio album, The Ground Cries Out.

These days it seems every tour has become so stream lined to one particular sound you may as well be watching the same band play four or five times in a row”. “This tour has a bit of everything for anyone who like’s their music a little faster, a little more energetic, something local, something punk, something heavy, something rock, and then us hahaha. Those lucky enough to have been present witnessed the coming together of two incredible female talents at a special point in both their careers. The magic was palpable. The much-loved GTM recipe of taking a tasty selection of the most memorable, talented and exciting national and International artists to regional Australia and the Nations capital for five value-packed shows returns in AprilMay 2011. The program features acts to satisfy all palates and is guaranteed to have everyone dancing, rocking and jumping around from gates open to lights out. Once more, music lovers from major cities, regional centres and small country towns will meet, party and fall in love at their local GTM.
The GTM path becomes more entrenched each year, forged by the wonderfully energetic and dedicated audience that make the annual return to Bendigo (30 April), Townsville (1 May), Maitland (7 May), Canberra (8 May) and Bunbury (14 May).

Brisbane duo Unlikely Superheroes are set to launch their first EP, Shooting Doves.
Formed early 2008, the duo have been playing many local Brisbane venues throughout the last 3 years. The duo, comprised of Riley Nottingham and Emma Walton, will be performing their 7 track EP with a full band. The EP has so far been well received; ‘Miss You’ having already been picked up by US record label Deep South. |

Dead Kennedys are one of the most popular and important American punk bands, and they are returning to Australia for three special shows this April.
They formed in San Francisco in 1978 when vocalist Jello Biafra answered a music paper advert placed by guitarist East Bay Ray. They were joined by bassist Klaus Flouride, drummer Ted, and a second guitarist known to posterity simply as 6025. |
The latter soon departed, while Ted was replaced in 1981 by D.H. Peligro. Lead vocals are now sung by former Wynona Riders singer Ron “Skip” Greer
