Wayward Smith release new EP ‘Bleeding Gold’ + Tour Dates

Bleeding Gold, the second EP from Brisbane Alt-Pop-Rock act Wayward Smith, drops nationally this September.

The recording, featuring early 2013 single ‘Highway’, is a tasting plate of the band’s diverse music and reflects their renewed enthusiasm and commitment to the act.

After five years playing the local scene and developing their sound and song-writing, Wayward Smith approached this EP with a bigger sound in mind. In order to get the right feel for their eclectic recording – one that would give it cohesion – the band enlisted James Russell (Ty Noonan, Syndicate, Vagrant City Scandal) at Heliport Studios to oversee the project.

The resulting EP alternates between sunny and serious and is littered with striking piano under-tones that play counter to lead singer Eloise’s crystal clear vocals. It’s a record that surprises and intrigues with each new track; an EP that will interest both alternative and pop music fans.

Having already familiarised themselves with Brisbane audiences via local festivals such as Jacaranda Festival and Radar Rock Festival and Queensland support slots for For This Cause’s national tour, Wayward Smith are heading out on the road down the East Coast during September & October.

THE SECOND SINGLE ‘FORGET ME’ IS NOW AVAILABLE
