Valtozash Bigband to play the New Globe Theatre, Brisbane – October 9, 2014

jazzkabanBehold Brisbanes newest and most brutal jazz orchestra, the Valtozash Bigband.

Recently described as ‘innovative but kind of messed up’, the band splices the textures and improvisation of jazz with the numerous styles of metal; thrash, grindcore, march, ambience, among others.

Under the oppression of Andre Bonetti, composer and electric-vibraphonist, Valtozash has among the hottest players in Brisbane and boasts a seven piece horn section.

Therein and the Prizoners of Jazzkaban join Valtozash at the New Globe Theatre, Fortitude Valley, 9th of October.

Line up, light up, cough up, drink up, listen up, drink up, spew up, piss off.

“The Prisoners of Jazzkaban” are a four piece Funky-Jazz group that spawned from the depths of their University performance class. Lachlan performs on guitar and vocals, with Simon on Tenor Sax, Elliot dropping the bass and Mitch hitting things with sticks. The group aim to express and articulate their creative intent by using Jazz harmony, a keen awareness of musical interaction, and a persistent drive for ‘the lolz’, which will result in acceptance and applause from all present… Come and be entertained if you dare, and embrace the Jazzkaban experience.
