2014 was a busy year for the world’s most relentless beard-themed band. They managed to record yet another album of songs about beards (The Beard Album); embark on their biggest Australian tour to date; receive a second ARIA nomination; and play to packed rooms throughout Europe on two separate international tours.
Now, The Beards are back in their homeland and set to sternly reiterate their steadfast message on their upcoming “Strokin’ My Beard Tour”.
‘Elephant in the Room’ – one of the centrepieces of So We Can Remember lashes out at 21st century ignorance and avarice and is about as challenging as any slice of rap music in this brave new post-Kendrick world. The Vine
Thundamentals are not stopping. Now announcing a tour that coincides with the 12-month anniversary of their 3rd LP So We Can Remember, the Blue Mountains crew have not had much time for visits home lately. Since first single ‘Smiles Don’t Lie’ went gangbusters the guys have been adopted, loved and championed all over the country.
Niche Productions is pleased to announce the Australian DJ tour for BONOBO: a musician, producer and DJ, hailing from Britain. An artist that constantly pushes himself outside of his musical comfort zone, Bonobo’s ranging personal tastes and regularly expanding range of synthesizers and instruments continue to take his productions to new levels. This outlook has earned him a reputation as one of the most pioneering figures in electronic music, in both his solo DJ sets and 12-piece live band shows. March will see Bonobo travelling to Auckland, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Perth for solo DJ sets with spectacular visuals that are not to be missed.

||With two influential bands and a sold out solo tour of the USA under his belt, ANDREW MCMAHON thoroughly deserves his place as a true star in the music scene. Best known as the piano-pounding front man of Something Corporate and Jackʼs Mannequin, his smooth voice and touching lyrics have amassed loyal and adoring fans the world over.
To a music fan of any age, the name Something Corporate brings back a flood of memories and induces dewy-eyed nostalgia. With pensive piano and chugging guitars, ANDREW MCMAHON wrote sincerely of loneliness, homesickness and longing, ensuring the band’s enduring appeal. “SoCo was light years ahead of its time, insightful and smart” (Riverfront Times), paving the way for the numerous melancholic introspective bands that followed after their hiatus in 2004.
Weaving beautiful metaphors through piano-laced rock, ANDREW MCMAHON’s live shows are stuff of legend, “Whether it was through his animated facial expressions, sharing his presence with the different sides of the stage, or jumping off the piano… McMahon knew exactly how to get his fans to that feverish pitch that felt as if it could bring down the whole building.” – Rocknroll Ghost
Power-pop and piano-rock has never sounded so sincere and we are delighted to confirm ANDREW MCMAHON will be touring Australia in February. With help from Bobby Anderson he will be performing songs acoustically from his brilliant solo career along with definitive hits from Something Corporate and Jack’s Mannequin.
