In New Zealand their Auckland charity concert raised NZ$354,903 for the New Zealand Government Christchurch Earthquake Appeal while in Australia their Brisbane charity concert raised AUD$770,717 for the Queensland Premier’s Disaster Relief Appeal.

20 Years of Bloodletting: “The Vampires Rise”
Concrete Blonde will return to Australia to perform and celebrate the music of their classic album ‘Bloodletting’ and other essential songs featured throughout the Concrete Blonde album catalogue which includes; Concrete Blonde, Free, Walking In London and Mexican Moon.
From the release of their eponymous album back in 1986, the music of Concrete Blonde gained a loyal audience in Australia with their popularity increasing with the release of each album and subsequent tours. In June 1990 the track ‘Joey’ from the album ‘Bloodletting’ found them at the top of the Australian singles chart; confirming them as one of the favourite touring acts of that year and ensuring future and frequent tours of Australia for the following fifteen years. The Frontier Touring Company, in association with the University of Canberra’s entertainment division UC LIVE!, are thrilled to announce the lineup for this year’s hotly anticipated Stonefest festival scheduled for Saturday 30 October 2010 and held on the University’s grounds.
The addition of Frontier Touring as festival co-promoters is sure to add to the magnitude of the festival. This year sees Frontier celebrating its 30th year of operation and 500th tour. Frontier Touring are extremely pleased to be a part of the venerable Stonefest festival in 2010.
Stonefest has previously hosted an array of highly reputable local and international artists including Cut Copy, The Waifs, Paul Kelly (2007), Faker, Grinspoon, The Dandy Warhols (2008), Josh Pyke, Children Collide, British India, The Living End and Birds of Tokyo (2009). Continue reading

The Frontier Touring Company announces the return of Regina Spektor to Australia and New Zealand in April this year.
When Regina Spektor’s family moved from her birthplace of the Soviet Union to America’s Bronx, her musical interests and talent expanded from the genre of classical music toward the vibrancy of pop and rock. These transitions of location and taste are reflected in the classical artistry within her piano composition and distinctive eclectic fusion of sounds. Adding to her repertoire of skills is her ability to play not only the piano but the guitar and occasional percussion as well, rendering her a truly versatile musician.
The Frontier Touring Company have announced that indie rockers Vampire Weekend will be performing a series of headline shows across Australia and New Zealand in April/May in addition to their Groovin’ The Moo performances.
The band initially made their mark on the music scene through their immense online success at a time when the term ‘internet sensation’ was relatively unheard of. After dominating online audiences, they released their hotly anticipated self-titled debut in 2008, cementing their arrival to indie rock. Their sharp, witty lyrics intermingled with African inspired beats guided them toward the forefront of the genre and the band quickly escalated to global fame.
It seems that Australians just can’t get enough of The Fray. The band’s last tour in March sold out in every city well in advance of the shows, and the performances themselves gripped crowds across the nation.
Luckily, The Fray can’t seem to get enough of us either. With that in mind, The Frontier Touring Company is very pleased to announce headline shows for the multi-platinum-selling band in addition to their performance at 2010’s Bluesfest in Byron Bay.
Lamb, the UK’s finest trip-hop duo excited their fans when they signaled an end to their five year hiatus, announcing their reformation in early ’09 for a series of summer festivals and one-off live shows. The Frontier Touring Company is ecstatic to announce the news many have been awaiting: Lamb are back and will perform intimate headline shows in Brisbane and Melbourne this summer.

An electro-hop duo from California, LMFAO – made up of DJ/rappers Redfoo and Sky Blu – are not your typical band. Named following an iChat conversation with Sky Blu’s techno-savvy grandmother, LMFAO have shown little respect for convention, forging their own path in the music world.

This will be The Used’s first tour of Australia since 2007’s Taste of Chaos jaunt that left all fans wanting more.
