If a word-cloud was done on The Bennies’ song lyrics, it would be a short but exhilarating list. With a subject matter focussed almost exclusively on hedonistic pursuits, the lyrics rarely venture outside the life of of a constant party, and the best ways in which to get there. The band’s live show is a perfect personification of that single-minded pursuit; their sold-out hometown gig at Max Watt’s to kick off their triumphant national tour is a masterclass in shambolic, euphoric pleasure seeking. And it’s as intoxicating as the substances they croon about.

The Bennies head off on their biggest tour to date in a week’s time and they are excited to announce a bunch of local legends will be joining the tour. Visiting each of the states and territories around the country, from June ‘till the end of July, the tour sees The Bennies joined by label mates Clowns and Perth’s Axe Girl along with the huge list of local supports below. BRANT BJORK Australian Tour Supports Announced

Brant BjorkBrant Bjork. The Low Desert Punk has again put together a band of serious rock players. His most “ideal” unit yet. Featuring Dave Dinsmore on bass (Che, Bl’ast), Bubba Dupree on guitar (Void, Hater) and Tont Tornay on drums (Fatso Jetson, Chuck Dukowski). A new band with old school, heavy, calssic punk and rock roots but also a band with a fresh attitude of fire and urgency. Nightmare Music will bring this new band to Australia for the first time this May/June for their debut tour.
