Deep Sea Arcade + Surf City (NZ) Australian Tour – February 2011 [Tour News & Tickets]

Its surf music Jim, but not as we know it… Deep Sea Arcade are pleased to announce theyll be hitting both the road and the beach this summer in a co-headline tour with fellow surficianados Surf City from New Zealand. The two bands will duel it up along the east coast throughout February 2011 and with both bands drawing inspiration from classic surf music its only fitting that the majority of the shows will take place by the beach.

Thanks to a slew of stand-out radio singles Crouch End, Dont Be Sorry, Lonely In Your Arms and Keep On Walking, Deep Sea Arcade have built a huge swell of support and they plan to ride it all the way into 2011. With their first major release looming large on the horizon, its time to lose the band to watch moniker and become the must see band of the summer.

Also, throwing down the gauntlet for summer’s best live champions are none other than our trans-Tasman pals, Surf City. NZ’s celebrated buzzsaw guitar pop upstarts have been winning a swag of praise for their killer new album Kudos, out now on Popfrenzy. Surf City have got the likes of Pitchfork, NME and Brooklyn Vegan swooning so expect them to be better and louder than ever on their return to our shores! Swell!
