|Day two of the Armor All Gold Coast 600 has delivered all of the breath-taking action anticipated to a crowd of 60,116 fans on the streets of the Gold Coast.
The battles started from the very start of the race, with frenetic racing from start to finish ensuring the crowd was kept entertained from start to finish across the 300 kilometer, 120 lap stanza.
The action was kicked off spectacularly with lap one seeing all of the racers fire up right away, with many of the cars caught
Day one of the Armor All Gold Coast 600 has gotten off to a cracking start on the streets of the Gold Coast, with 50,980 fans coming through the gates for the party the Gold Coast has to have.
While the racing has concluded for the day with Ford Performance Racing, the Bottle-O Racing Team and Jim Beam Racing posting the three quickest times for the combined sessions, the action for Friday is nowhere near over with Southport’s Broadwater Parklands about to fire up for the first night of 600 Sounds presented by Hard Rock.
The music event is part of the Armor All Gold Coast 600’s Rock N Race format and will see The Only, Hook N Sling, Kid Kenobi & MC Shureshock, the Potbelleez, Static Revenger and Ian Carey all hitting the stage this evening, with entry free as part of the Armor All Gold Coast 600 event ticket.

|Champion race driver Colin Bond got reacquainted with the car that was part of Australian motorsport’s most famous moment at the Armor All Gold Coast 600 at Surfers Paradise today.
For only the second time since 1977, Bond drove the #2 Ford Falcon XC that finished second in the Bathurst 1000 33 years ago behind team-mate Allan Moffat – a moment that will be re-enacted on Sunday.
Bond, along with 10 other Australian motor racing heroes, drove at the Surfers Paradise circuit in the first of three demonstration race sessions for the popular Pirtek Australian Legends category.

V8 Supercar driver Mark Winterbottom, pilot of the #5 Orrcon Steel FPR Falcon, was in the Nikon SuperGP pit lane to reflect upon his weekend’s success on the Surfers Paradise streets.
Winterbottom, who claimed two prized Nikon SuperGP surfboards across the weekend despite battling a glandular illness for the past week, said the win was just the injection he needed.

Mark Winterbottom has continued his blistering form despite illness today aboard his #5 Orrcon Steel FPR Falcon, coming home for the win this afternoon and finishing second in this morning’s race at the final day of racing for the 2009 Nikon SuperGP.
That makes two wins, and two runner-ups from the four 150km races this weekend for the driver who has been battling a glandular illness this week, with the points he collected – the most of any driver this weekend – elevating him to fifth in the championship.

|Saturday’s first two 150km V8 Supercar races on the streets of Surfers Paradise did not disappoint today, with plenty of action on the streets of Surfers Paradise for the third day of the 2009 Nikon SuperGP.
Mark Winterbottom continued his blistering pace of yesterday by placing his #5 Orrcon Steel FPR Falcon on pole after the Top Ten Shootout this morning before taking victory in the opening 150km stanza, with the Holden Racing Team pair of Garth Tander and Will Davison in third.
