Consistently one of Brisbane’s hardest working live bands The Amity Affliction will be embarking on a large scale national tour in July to launch their new album Youngbloods. The Youngbloods tour will incorporate a series of shows throughout July, and true to The Amity Affliction’s punk rock ethos the tour will be a mix of all age, under 18 and over 18 shows through capital cities and select major regionals.
This is no ordinary tour! To help them party hard The Amity Affliction has roped in a United Nations of Punk and Hardcore bands to help and will be ably supported at all shows by Misery Signals (USA), popular Melbourne moshlords Confession, and Flood of Red (UK).
The tour will be Misery Signals first Australian tour since their sold out headline run in 2009 when they were supported by The Amity Affliction – a testament to Amity’s huge growth over the past 12 months – and will be Flood of Red’s first ever Australian run which coincides with the June release of their debut album Leaving Everything Behind on Boomtown Records.
Youngbloods, Amity’s second album, is currently being recorded in New York with hardcore super-producer Machine at the control desk (Every Time I Die, Lamb Of God, Gym Class Heroes) and will be released independently on June 25 through Boomtown Records via Shock distribution.
In the mean time, The Amity Affliction will be keeping fans constantly up to date Throughout the recording experience with video, text and photo content via their newly revamped website www.theamityaffliction.com.
The content will be available throughout the recording period and right up until the end of the Youngbloods tour and will also include updates from their recently announced US and Canadian tours supporting Misery Signals throughout May and June.
With the introduction of former The Getaway Plan guitarist Clint Splattering, and the heaviness inspired by 18 months of toughing it out on the road, Youngbloods is set to fulfill the bands promise and be one of 2010’s most anticipated and successful heavy/punk/hardcore releases.
Youngbloods will be the coming out party of the year….you have been warned
