THE APE – East Coast Album Tour – October 2013

On the back of their chunky debut single – Crawl Back, The Ape’s marvelous self titled debut album is out October 4th.

The Ape shares 99.8% of the same DNA as the human being – incredibly they’re almost ape!
Poor hapless humans, impossibly burdened with responsibility, intelligence and ambition.
They are doomed!
Wait… what is that sound?
Simple swinging Beats! Sweet screaming strings! Tunes as catchy as malaria!
Fear not! The Ape will not harm you!
It approaches…
It is the Ape!
The Ape loves you!

Wednesday 13 Australian Tour Announced!

WEDNESDAY 13 is the undisputed leader in Horrorpunk.

A grimly glamorous ghoul who first slithered from the cobwebbed shadows of Charlotte, North Carolina, WEDNESDAY 13 has established himself as the world’s premier purveyor of balls-out horror punk insanity. With a vivid and vile imagination that has endeared him to countless fans of riff-driven macabre over the last two decades, he has been one of rock’s most prolific protagonists, spreading his credo of grave-robbing rock ‘n’ roll and Halloween debauchery around the globe and unleashing a seemingly endless stream of blood-spattered albums and EPs.

Bobby Alu – ‘Take It Slow” National Tour Dates Announced!

Out Fri Sep 13th 2013 through Vitamin, Take It Slow is the second album from Bobby Alu. In many ways for Bobby though, it feels like the first. In his own words: “My first album was completely solo and an experiment. Now Bobby Alu is a team and a family. The balance, line up and groove of the band has taken shape over two years of touring the country, playing festivals, support slots, writing together and of course – recording this album.

It’s all about lifestyle choice for all of us. We choose the lives we lead and remain grateful for the good fortune that comes our way. Success doesn’t come without hard work but we find salvation in keeping the balance. Chilling out as well as working hard but first and foremost enjoying the journey. Take it Slow is an album delivering this philosophy.”

Is there anything left to say about BEHEMOTH? If you are honest to yourself, not really – but let’s give it a shot. Polish blackened death metallers have achieved what only a few bands in that genre will ever be able to reach for. After years of relentless touring and releasing even stronger music with each output, all the hard work has paid off & very few, if any, lay ahead of them. With each tour in Australia since 2006 growing in stature and anticipation, this 2013 tour will surely be the one to top them all as BEHEMOTH, punish us with their formidable and incredible live performances and vitriolically spew forth their hellacious hymns the way they should be. This band is UNSTOPPABLE!!

:: What track changed your life ::
“One Hundred Years” from The Cure. Nothing like a first line such as “It doesn’t matter if we all die” to put your life in perspective!

:: What is your favourite Album ::
“No More Shall We Part” from Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds. It shaped the world as I now see it… Truly uplifting.
