The sassy musician who loves both banjos and hobos, has just been nominated for two 2016 Grammy Awards for Best Rock Song and Best Rock Performance for her hit ‘Ex’s & Oh’s’. The song also spent three weeks on the No.1 spot in the Billboard Alternative Charts and hit the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100. Elle King also made the No.2 spot on Billboard’s Top New Rock Artist of 2015 list.

Sleater-Kinney came crashing out of the ’90s Pacific Northwest riot grrrl scene, setting a new bar for punk’s political insight and emotional impact. Hailed as “America’s best rock band” by Greil Marcus in Time Magazine, and as “America’s best punk band ever. EVER” by Rob Sheffield in Rolling Stone, the band put out seven searing albums in 10 years before going on indefinite hiatus in 2006. We discussed the current fire situation in the surrounding areas and the weather forecasts over the coming days. It was agreed that the Lorne farm, for this particular event, is potentially high risk.

Live Nation announced that due to scheduling changes, Madonna’s Brisbane concert dates previously scheduled on Saturday, March 26th and Sunday, March 27th will move ahead one week with the revised dates changed respectively to Wednesday, March 16th and Thursday, March 17th. There is no change to the venue which remains the Brisbane Entertainment Centre.
