It aint long before DEAP VALLY makes their way to Australia for their first ever shows early April, Lindsey and Julie have been busy honing their gig chops.
They deliver tracks like ‘End of the World’, Lies and Make My Own Money like a band with something to prove, a rare sight these days London on the Inside, Feb 2013
Between a killer headline UK tour, a string of European dates with Mumford & Sons and what are sure to be scorching appearances at Coachella, Reading and Leads festivals this year, DEAP VALLY have gained a reputation for a powerful, sincere live show with engaging and precise delivery and an indescribable constant energy.
Taking time out from feverishly touring and working with Lars Stalfors (The Mars Volta) on their highly anticipated debut album Sistrionix, the increasingly talented girls recently spent time at BBC Radio 1 to record this awesome cover of Jake Buggs Lightning Bolt
Joining DEAP VALLY in both Sydney on the 5th and Melbourne on the 6th are GUNG HO. An energetic and original Brisbane outfit who have been together since 2010. And after making a powerful first impression, they have been hailed as one of the countrys more promising young bands. With big ideas and a blend of styles, Gung Hos combination of Olivers retro bass lines with Mikes hook laden guitar riffs made for a unique environment of post-punk jams alongside other melodious new wave singles.
Also joining the Sydney bill is the wonderful STEVE SMYTH. Hailing from the rugged heartland of the New South Wales south coast, Steves roots in music can be traced back, past adolescent forays into punk, folk and rock, to a childhood of Sunday gospel sessions. A born wanderer Steve has toured the globe playing with an incredible mix of local and international acts including The Killers and Angus Stone just recently. Following the worldwide acclaim of his 2012 debut album, Release Steve returns home from European Festival circuit to a rapidly growing local fan base of fervent enthusiasm.
If you havent already, get your tickets for this night of rock n roll. Because all too quickly theyll take their glitzy glamour, big hair and fierce riffs back home and youll be wishing you did.
