SAM SMITH returning to Australia for national arena tour this summer

As promised, Frontier Touring are thrilled to confirm that four-time Grammy winner Sam Smith will return to Australia this summer, performing in arenas across the country on his biggest tour yet:

I’m unbelievably excited to get back onstage and perform for you all again, and I promise it will be so much better than it would have been before when my voice was damaged. It has been 18 years since blur, one of the most successful British bands of the last two decades, has graced our shores. Together, Damon Albarn, Graham Coxon, Alex James and Dave Rowntree, have won a total of five BRIT Awards, and were twice nominated for the Mercury Music Award. And now blur are back with their eighth studio album ‘The Magic Whip’ and in July will the band make their way to Australia, fresh from headlining British Summer Time Festival in London’s Hyde Park, to play three huge arena shows in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth.

The night unfolded with support act Fatai from Season 2 of The Voice Australia. She performed a variety of her own beautiful tunes proving she has the voice. She thanked Guy Sebastian for inviting her to tour with him and reflected on what an amazing opportunity it was. At the conclusion of her final song she got the fans pumped up and ready to go. “Who’s excited to see Guy tonight?” she cried! The crowd went wild and they were ready for a night full of madness.
