Grinspoon “Six To Midnight” Tour – new dates added July-Sep 2010

  Overwhelmed by demand to play shows in regional areas. Aussie rockers Grinspoon announce an extensive new run of new dates for their Six To Midnight Tour.

With the tour starting on the 29th of July in Tasmania the show will see the lads weave their way through the ACT, regional New South Wales and Victoria before hitting the last stretch of the tour in South Australia.

The hugely successful first leg of the tour in March, saw the band playing at “Sold-Out” venues like The Enmore Theatre and HiFi Bar in Melbourne to a very energetic crowds. Grinspoon are looking forward to the opportunity to engage with their regional fans with their amazing show and unique support line-up. Live Review: Corn Liquor @ The Joynt, Brisbane 1 Aug 2009

  Corn Liquor are four hard drinking, hard playing, good ol’ boys. If only they had chicken wire up I’d think I was in the deep south with the good old blues brother boys.

This was the busiest I had ever seen the Joynt with wall to wall people, moving, grooving and shaking their ass off to some fine rock a billy style. The first half consisted of all original tracks, followed by a very cool version of AC/DC‘s Jailbreak

played with a double bass, not sure what Bon Scott would have thought of that, he would have probably had another drink and kept partying.

Texas Tea    Texas Tea are a two piece alt-country act from Brisbane, Australia.

Texas Tea’s debut album, Take A Sip, featured heavily on radio from it’s release in 2006, including ABC, Triple R, PBS, Triple J, 4ZZZ. In 2006 and 2007 Texas Tea took out the Hot 100 on Brisbane’s 4ZzZfm with tracks ‘Macy and Me’ and ‘Whiskey and Wine’.

These tracks also featured as finalists in the Q Music Awards and in 2007 APRA Songwriters Award. Tracks from Take A Sip have been used in several film projects including a film by Tropfest Winning Director Steve Baker and more recently in feature film written and directed by John Jarratt – Savages Crossing.
