After an absolutely massive 2009, Skipping Girl Vinegar crawled into the studio the week before Christmas to record their new single ‘One Long Week’, the first release from their forthcoming sophomore album. Working with Melbourne indie producers Nick Huggins (Kid Sam, Whitley) & Greg Arnold, the band have ventured into new territories whilst retaining their organic hobo pop aesthetic, uncovering a dark and overwhelming melodic classic. ‘One Long Week’ was Mixed in Nashville by American indie legend Brad Jones (Bob Evans, Josh Rouse) who mixed SGV’s debut album. |

Mixed in January 2010 in Nashville by American indie legend Brad Jones (Josh Rouse, Bob Evans), who mixed SGV’s debut album, the new single ‘One Long Week’ uncovers the whirlwind of the previous year of endless independent touring and the release of their acclaimed debut album ‘Sift The Noise’.
After returning from Nashville in February 09, SGV hit the road running, by the time they stopped to look around for a moment, they found themselves stumbling into a shopping centre overwhelmed by the presence of a giant polyurethane reindeer that hailed the arrival of December, and its associated Christmas paraphernalia. With this came the realisation that an entire year had slipped into the vortex of what had felt like one long week.

Surfacing from the studio, refreshed from the summer break and a cracking set at the Pyramid Rock Festival, Skipping Girl Vinegar are currently out on the indie highway on an east coast tour to celebrate the release of their new single ‘One Long Week’. Be sure to gather into the ivy covered woodland set and experience Skipping Girl Vinegar perform new songs from their eagerly anticipated second album, as well as old favourites from Sift The Noise.
