Queensland Ballet’s World’s Largest Ballet Class – Guinness World Records

Queensland Ballet is challenging the record for the World’s Largest Ballet Class as part of their commitment to putting Brisbane on the international dance map. If you are over six years of age, now is your chance to secure your place in the Guinness World Record books

Come along on Sunday 22 May and join Queensland Ballet dancers on the Kurilpa Bridge in South Brisbane for a 30 minute basic, but fun classical barre class starting promptly at 9am. Dancers of all ages and levels are encouraged to register and help beat the current record of 1,055 participants set by Staatsoper Hannover in Germany last year.

So gather your friends, family and anyone you think can participate and bring some ballet into your lives. Finish up the morning with some breakfast while getting to know Queensland Ballet dancers. If you want to make a group booking, you are able to do so, simply enter the number of participants and make sure that everyone has their own barcode printed on the day. Only participants will be permitted onto the bridge, so why not sign up with your kids?

Detailed participant guidelines will be emailed to each registered participant prior to the event and will also be available online soon.

So if you’ve ever dreamed of dancing on a bridge in ballet shoes, click here to register online today to help us dance to our goal of 2,011 participants in 2011!

Registrations will be available on the day only if the limit of 2,011 participants has not been reached. To secure your place book online today.

This event is presented in proud partnership with Queensland Ballet.
