Pigeon, the electronic-dance-horn-party-rock monster is moving to bigger and better things in 2013 after having gathered a group of loyal fans. Theyʼve been partying their way up and down the East Coast of Australia already this year and arenʼt looking to stop anytime soon.
Fresh off the back of a tour with triple j favourites Strange Talk, the boys from Pigeon look to strengthen their unique approach to the indie/electro dance genre, and move their cult-like following to total world domination. The past year has also seen them tour nationally with Van She and Tijuana Cartel.
The electro, sax-weilding dance band has become a festival favourite over the past couple of years, playing knock out sets at festivals such as Splendour in the Grass, Parklife, Fat as Butter, Peats Ridge Festival, Big Sound, Festival of the Sun to name a few.
Pigeonʼs first EP ‘Parallels’ debuted at #6 in the Australian iTunes Electronic Album charts upon its release and their 2012 release ʻFortunesʼ saw the band refine their sound in the studio putting together a tight, energetic and polished live show.
Being the 12th most played artist on triple j Unearthed radio in 2012 Pigeon are building a strong national awareness. So stay tuned in 2013, as the boys will be back to keep you entertained with new music and many shows to come!
