OWL EYES – Second Melbourne show announced + + Split Seconds confirmed as east coast support!

Splendour In The Grass has come and gone, but it will live long in the memory of OWL EYES. As well as her surprise onstage collab with ILLY to perform their hit duet It Can Wait, the 20-year-old starlet fulfilled a life dream by meeting musical hero DEVENDRA BANHART. If that weren’t exhilarating enough, the freaky folk troubadour bestowed the highest honour upon our girl by ‘giving’ her his song Owl Eyes – the very song she took her name from. It doesn’t get much better than that!

Returning home safe and star-struck, Owl Eyes was greeted with the very exciting news that her upcoming EP launch at the Northcote Social Club had SOLD OUT.

In such circumstances it’s only fair to add a second show, so that’s exactly what we’ve done! Tickets are already selling fast so you’d better pump up those kicks and grab yours while you can.

And because we here at Shiny are one big happy family, it gives us great pleasure to announce that none other than indie pop crusaders SPLIT SECONDS will be joining Owl Eyes on the east coast leg of her ‘Raiders’ tour. The All You Gotta Do stars were HUGELY impressive when they opened for fellow Perthians THE PANICS on their recent national foray, and will no doubt be at it again with their infectious melodies and mind-blowing harmonies when they hit the road with Owl Eyes.
