Marcus Blacke releases debut album ‘Butterfly Black’

Songwriter, storyteller Marcus Blacke has a vivid language grasp that is not seen often these days. From his folk inspirations, poetic songs are created in the legacy of old time greats with a dash of the contemporary. The ability to create unique music that invigorates listeners sets Marcus apart as a performer and artist.

His debut album Butterfly Black is a beautiful creation filled with songwriters songs. It was recorded in a concrete water tank with Govinda Doyle who was the Aria award winning engineer/producer of Big Jet Plane by Angus and Julia Stone.

The album has grabbed the attention of community radio nation wide receiving airplay on Triple J, Triple R, RTR and Art Sound along with many others.

The first single Master of Eden is a folk rock song with a driving melody that gets you tapping your feet, whilst remaining true to the genre. The lyrics are sincere, compelling and thought provoking.

Marcus is now back in the sweatshop with band creating the next batch of medicinal sounds, no rest for the wicked, along with plotting a launch tour for Butterfly Black.
