Listen: Tara Simmons – Where Do You Go

“Now please be gone – ohah oh oh!” – a little phrase sassily delivered by Brisbane’s Tara Simmons that has saturated airwaves and been healthily supported by our nation’s own youth broadcaster since it was first delivered in November. The line is, of course, from ‘Be Gone’, the first single from the talented musician’s second full-length album which, we now can be reveal, will be called It’s Not Like We’re Trying To Move Mountains.

Now, we’re pleased to offer you a first listen of her exciting new single called ‘Where Do You Go’, another vintage synth-laden dream that, once again, features an electro backdrop and, as always, an infectious trademark-Tara hook.

Co-produced by Tara and Yanto Browning (The Jungle Giants, The Medics), the track initially formed quickly over a loop played by drummer Chris O’Neill. After suffering an identity crisis and taking on several guises in its efforts to find its place – almost abandoned, it eventually emerged as you hear it today.
