Jack’s Band share new single ‘Sharks’

After playing just about every pub in Sydney within their first few months of existence last year, Jack’s Band are pleased to announce the arrival of their debut EP ‘Time To Change’. Following on from lively first taster Drive Through, the four piece have served up Sharks, a slice of driving indie-rock that perfectly encapsulates the polite brutality of their live show.

Written by singer Rohan Pank in his university days, Sharks captures the anxiety and uncertainty of early 20’s life and where that life may lead. Self-produced by Pank and guitarist Tom Haeusler, the song had been in the works since 2013, being recorded between Pank’s parents’ garage and a Surry Hills apartment.

Consisting of founding members Rohan Pank (vocals/guitar), Tom Haeusler (guitar), Nick Horgan (bass) and Axel Lugo (drums), Jack’s Band both capture and obliterate the joyous angst inherent in being a twenty-something millennial without a clue. The desire to prove their mettle has left an impression on all who have been lucky enough to catch a show so far and 2018 looks set to be a landmark year for the young band.
